Day sixty two of #MediMagic365 is complete I started my meditation today at 5:00 am with my normal routine of big deep belly breaths, relaxing my entire body and muscles and filling my body with white light. I sat in my normal pose of sitting with my legs crossed and hands resting on my knees palms facing up with my index finger and thumb touching so the energy I was circulating throughout my body would stay within me and not release through my palms.
Today's meditation was a bit of a challenge for me to get back into my "being" as I no longer am feeling under the weather I am ready to go out and take on the day so I found myself in my head focusing on what I needed to accomplish today that I was not able to earlier this week because of being under the weather. I noticed I was thinking of all the to-do's I need to take care of today, the calls I need to make, the emails I need to follow up on etc..... Once I acknowledged that I was "thinking" I would revert back to my deep inhalation exercise until I was out of my own head and just "being". To be honest I had to revert back to my breathing exercise three to four times during my meditation today.
Conclusion: I still believe I had a successful meditation because we are given what we are needed each time we are there and I believe the meditation process just as any other process or goal we are trying to achieve is about Progress not Perfection. Think about it if we were perfect in everything we did we would never need to work on anything which in turn means we would never need to learn anything new and grow ourselves. So i encourage you whether its a meditation practice your working on like me or any other goal you have focus on the progress of it not being perfect and I promise you will feel a lot better while accomplishing it than having the mindset of needing to be perfect, be you and make your progress....
