Day twenty eight of #MediMagic365 is complete I started my meditation today at 5:15 am with my normal routine of big deep belly breaths, relaxing my entire body and muscles and filling my body with white light.
Today's meditation was a challenge for me as I had a bad case of "monkey mind' where lots of thoughts and situations kept coming into my consciousness and I felt myself becoming involved in the thoughts rather than observing. So each time during meditation today I felt myself become involved in the thought I had to consciously remove myself take my deep belly breaths and get back to center again and in the place of just "being" rather than thinking.
Conclusion: I was reminded during my meditation today that even though it is my 28th day of consistent meditation and I thought I had my mind under control that I must continue with my daily meditation and deliberate practice and evolve into a "being" rather than a "thinker". This is a journey and each day will be a new and different experience but through consistent practice I will evolve into a higher consciousness and into a new state of "being". Just like the quote in the image for today's post feeding into our "monkey mind" is a punishable offence as it punishes us from being in the present moment and taking away from our "being" and put us back into thinking mode. We deserve better so remember to be conscious and when the "monkey mind" shows up we know we are off course and we need to take a minute or two to get centered and present.
