MediMagic365 Let My Journey Begin

As a new year is upon us I have been given a strong intuition to begin a journey a magical transofmational process through meditation and inner self discovery. I have tried to disregard this intuition but it keeps showing up so I know I need to listen and follow this inner guidance for some reason I may not know "why" but I do know there is a reason for this to keep coming up and I need to listen. That being said I am going to embark on a journey starting January 1st, 2016 for 365 days and implement a daily meditation practice and blog about my experience and what occurred during the daily meditation and share with the world. It is my hopes that through my journey I can bring enlightenment to others and provide you the permission to allow yourself to trust that everything we need is already within us and all we need to do is allow the answers to be presented to us. 

There are many types of meditation practices but the most popular are:

Zen: “Seated meditation.” It comes from Buddhism, which is more of a philosophy than a religion. You acquire insight through observing the breath and the mind, and through interaction with a teacher or higher power such as God, The Universe, Buddha etc. 

Transcendental Meditation: Uses a mantra or series of Sanskrit words to help the practitioner focus during meditation in lieu of just following breath. Mantras can be as simple as "I Am" I am Love" I am abundance"... 

Mindfulness Meditation: Breath awareness is as simple as it sounds—you focus your attention on the inhalation and exhalation. Body scan is a process of focused attention on the physical body starting at the toes and working your way up with heightened awareness and the potential for release or relaxation of tension.

For my 365 day journey I will be focusing on the three types of meditation I stated above. 

There are many benefits to a daily meditation practice for both adults and children. Some of the benefits of meditation are:
  • Helps with anxiety and insomnia
  • Reduces stress
  • Improves concentration
  • Increases focus
  • Helps with depression
  • Helps prevent emotional eating and smoking
  • Helps manage ADHD
  • Helps with PTSD
  • Increases mental strength and focus

As I begin this journey it is my intention as I said before to share this with whomever feels compelled to join and take my findings and implement them in their own life as they choose. I believe that if given the chance our minds and bodies have the power to heal themselves with no prescription medications or drugs.  Also if given the chance everything we need to succeed in any area of our life is already within us if we take the time to go in and listen to our intuitions and take inspired action.

The title that has been chosen for my journey with the help of a few friends Thank you Dilyse Diaz and Starr Pilmore .  MediMagic365 which is what meditation truly is, Magical..... There is also a hashtag I will be using to get the conversations going on social media which I encourage you to use also is #MediMagic365. 

​I look forward to this new exciting journey and how I and you will evolve within the next year.
